For individual private clients
- We will have a brief conversation about your needs or the needs of the person/people you enquire about, offering an opportunity to find out more and decide whether music therapy is the right choice.
- If school staff, care staff or other health professionals are involved in supporting, funding or transporting clients to the sessions, they will be included in this process too.
- You will complete some forms, and we will agree on an initial set of weekly sessions.
- We will meet weekly in a safe and pleasant environment where the client can feel relaxed and a musical relationship can develop.
- I will keep in touch about the progress of the therapy so that it is as collaborative as possible, always keeping the needs of the client at the centre.
For organisations
- You may represent a care home, school, day centre, hospital, community service... We will discuss the needs of your organisation and its service users, offering you an opportunity to find out more and decide whether music can be a part of fulfilling these needs.
- We will decide on whether individual or group sessions would be most appropriate, how many sessions or how much time you would like to dedicate to music therapy, and where the sessions would most appropriately take place.
- We will discuss costs and funding possibilities. I am happy to contribute to writing applications for grant funding.
- I will provide a contract and you will provide referrals and other relevant information such as risk assessments and safeguarding details.
- We will keep in touch on a regular basis during the therapy so that it is as collaborative and people-centred as possible.

Where does music therapy take place?
- I serve the North Hertfordshire area: Baldock, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Stevenage, Royston.
- Individual private or small group/family sessions take place in Clothall Village Hall, a mile and a half east of Baldock. It is a beautiful rural setting, with a large car park, disabled access and clean and modern facilities. Please note that parents or carers of clients will need to remain on site during therapy sessions.
- Larger group sessions can also take place in Clothall Village Hall.
- For Organisations, depending on needs and availability group sessions could also take place on site or in an agreed community space.
- All sessions take place on a THURSDAY.

How much does it cost?
- My fees are set in line with other Allied Health Professionals.
- Costs vary depending on length of sessions and how many sessions are booked.
- I aim to be flexible for the benefit of anyone who wants to have music therapy, and session times may be negotiated to suit each private client or organisation according to need and resources.
- For community projects, organisations may be able to apply for their own grant funding in order to make sessions more affordable for service users.
- Please get in touch to find out more and discuss.
